FIAV AGM & Elections

The Federation of Indian Associations of Victoria - FIAV held its AGM and Elections on Saturday 30 th April 2010 at Tralgon, to elect their committee. The elected executive committee members are as follows:

Membership of the FIAV


Membership of the FIAV is open to Community Associations and Cultural groups as outlined in the Constitution.

Community Association Membership is open to any organisation whose members include a majority of persons of Indian origin and whose aims and activities are not inconsistent with the statement of purposes as outlined in the constitution, shall be eligible for membership.


Corporate Membership is open to any organisation with an interest in ethnic and multicultural issues, which is not inconsistent with the statement of purpose as outlined in the constitution and at the same time not being their primary objective.


Individuals are NOT able to apply apply for a membership. They should be part of an existing Community organisation that is part of FIAV.

The FIAV is a dynamic community organisation that is sensitive and responsive to the needs of its constituents. Please feel free to contact us with any issues or comments that you may have.

If your Community / Cultural group is interested to join FIAV, please drop in an email to secretary@fiav.asn.au and the Membership committee shall forward you the required inputs to become a member. Please note, all membership has to be tabled to the General Council of FIAV and it might take up to 3 months for subsequent meeting.
